Pros

Other maintenance technicians know what they’re doing some are decent, others completely closed off

Cons

Being forced to wear a yellow cap was not something I agreed upon. All new employees have to wear one. The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. HR throws on a “we are the best company in Ohio” mask, and somehow wins awards, furthest from the truth if you’re new.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. At Worthington Enterprises, we continuously strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming workplace for every team member. The practice of wearing yellow caps for new employees is part of our safety and onboarding culture—it helps ensure that our teams can easily identify and assist new hires as they learn their way around our facilities. This approach allows experienced team members and leaders to provide guidance, reinforce safety protocols, and foster collaboration during those first critical weeks on the job. We appreciate your feedback on management visibility and communication and will be sure to share that.
