Pros

Nice benefits and perks on unlimited PTOs but you must be 101% the top employee in your team if you want to take a leave, flexible work hours for most roles Some roles are remote and will provide a one-time allowance to set up your home office or equipment

Cons

- Rude managers, especially if your manager is from the US and you are an employee in APJ - Expect racism and discrimination. This is more obvious when the treatment for APJ teams are compared with how US and North American teams are managed and dealt with - The company has grown too fast that it has neglected employee welfare. It markets itself as family-friendly but it discourages using your leave credits for personal reasons. - Politics is present across all levels - Sending negative feedback and being honest when you’re asked for your input will get you twice the backlash and repercussions as management is too young and cannot take constructive feedback appropriately. - If you send negative feedback about your manager, HR will always side and protect management. You will not even be able to file for unemployment because they will deny the inhumane labor practices. Imagine being in an emergency and your boss will still require you to attend a not-so-important meeting - You will be retaliated if you raise any concerns to HR or to management about racial discrimination and managers who belittle you for being non-white. You can get terminated anytime, any day without being given the chance to explain as HR and the manager who received your negative feedback will always find ways to terminate you for invalid reasons - Career growth depends on how you’re willing to work extra hours, extra miles, everything extra for more than a year before you can get an invitation to try out for the promotion.

Horrible practices against interns

Pros

- Great product - Great perks - Get to work with people all over the world and form a globalised viewpoint

Cons

- No clear pipeline/methodology for intern conversion discussions - Interns are treated as cheap labor and have been continuing to work for the company for over 1 and a half years without any progress in conversion discussions - If a conversion to FT is not possible, this should be made clearer and not asked to check in a few months time

Workato Response

We’re so glad that you have experienced a positive work culture here at Workato. Thank you also for highlighting our commitment to staying competitive with our benefits package. When it comes to our cash compensation, we look at two main data points: external market benchmarks and internal comparisons. Our Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition Team, in partnership with our hiring leaders, carefully deliberate these figures with each hire we bring onto the team. We understand that workloads can shift given how quickly we move as an organization, and encourage you to speak directly with your manager on any questions regarding how work is distributed across your team. Your People Partners are also happy to support you in these discussions, should you find it helpful to involve them. Lastly, Workato has a long history of hiring interns, and we have converted a number of them to full-time employees who have since then, been with us for years. We understand that most of our interns will leave after their internship – however, it’s always been a core talent strategy of ours to invest in early-in-career/high-potential talent. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback! Rachael Park, Director, Global Talent Acquisition
