Pros

It's a mission driven company. Amazing core values. As a dev you get ownership of what you do. Your inputs are heard and actioned. Plenty of learning and growing opportunities. Freedom to experiment. People are always open to new ideas. Very strong leadership.

Cons

None that I can think of

Pros

The Cons make you stronger, I thought I'll say, but no, the trauma overpowers even that.

Cons

Their existence is unfortunate for the world. It's just chaos and stupidity of the what they call themselves as the "Core Team" who fail to realise how much damage their putting to the world. Ex-employees would want to just buy out this group so that they stop this non sense and get a job and may be learn something to add value to the world.

None, had some smart people but they all left.

1. Senior leadership is the most illiterate and unpolished founder ever. 2. No vision and no strategy for future, company is sure to die.

Pros

I don't have anything to add here.

Cons

No work life balance. They will call you on your festival day and make you work till midnight. Leadership team consists of all kids, which will come up with new policies after every alternate days. They will fire before it's time for yearly bonus. Reason of firing is no skills available, that are required for the role. This is realised by them at the time of yearly bonus.

Pros

Good money. Don't fall for it though.

Cons

All co-founders are kids, have no respect for the employee, only know how to throw money around. All they care about is their status and name amongst the industry and investors. Don't have a sliver of compassion or consideration towards the employee. Yes the money will sound good, but the cofounders and management will stab you in the back, first chance they get. Don't fall for the money, take that lesser package and considerably better environment. All reviews prior to 2020 are fake. All 4/5 star, one liners, same words, no details. That is all the leadership cares about, their image, never you as an employee.

Pros

Food where you will pay 50 and company will pay 50 percent for such bad food. Join and buy a laptop company will pay 50 percent even if you are leaving after a week.

Cons

Not safe place for women. First of all they will present well written JDs. You'll be trapped to apply. Money will be good so you'll join too. But alas! In a few days you'll realise neither they have an idea why you're here nor you. Then comes the dreadful struggle of making yourself relevant.Total lack of vision. Smart people..mind it top B-school guys are put to going stupid tasks. If they don't quit on their own, they will be asked to leave anyway after a few months. Work is so irrelevant that you will yourself think why did you come here. People are also highly misogynistic where some leaders have problem working with women because they can't talk to women same way they talk to men. In short, use inappropriate language. There is no plan for people's growth. No employee friendly policies (No HR Dept). Highly judgemental and immature leadership. Don't waste precious years of your career. Join a good startup. Do your due diligence. 1. No work life balance 2. Separate project given to marketing team for improving Glassdoor/Google/Playstores reviews - basically fake reviews 3. They fired a team of 43 giving just 1 day notice (told it was a business call) -so literally no job security 4. Founders expect you to work around 13-14 hrs a day, and tries to motivate you telling handwork is required to progress in life. 5. Huge politics 6. HR policies are not even laid 7. Bad leave policy 8. 1 days notice period 9. 14 paid leaves an year 10. Micro-management 11. No 3 month salary after firing even it is promised but no body gets. 12. Bad code base.

WorkIndia Response

For 100% transparency, this review is from Lokesh Tiwari, one of the co-founders at WorkIndia. Reviews given to WorkIndia in the months of April-May enthused the Leadership Team into various discussions ... should we request existing team members to write good reviews to bump up the ratings or ex-team members to upgrade their rating etc. After thinking deeply a simple realization was ... requesting a positive review, requesting edit, etc ... just didn't seem right. What seemed right was this: Let's mention the facts transparently ... and let the reader make his/her own decision. Facts: 1. In Jan Feb, we requested 8-10 team members to leave due to a specific issue (groupism) and 2-3 due to underperformance. The team members let go were committed 3 months severance pay 2. Due to COVID, in April May we informed the above team members that we can pay 50% of their severance package. We made the mistake of informing them over email rather than calling them and having a humane discussion. This was wrong on our part 3. The above 11 team members who were let go in January / February.... put in a 1-star rating on Glassdoor in the months of April May (I would do the same if I got 50% of what was committed to me) 4. To correct Workindia's mistake, the Company committed to pay out the entire salary as promised. Today, as on August 5th, 70% of the unpaid salary has been paid to let go of team members. By August 31st, 100% will be paid with no salary due. Thank you.

Pros

The fact that they let you experience the worst in your professional journey!

Cons

Everything about this company is a con! 1. No work life balance 2. All the founders have a hire and fire mentality 3. Kids are leading teams 4. Founders and their leadership peers are looking for people who can boost their ego 5. No accountability of failures by leadership whereas success is highly celebrated as if it's their individual success and failure is of the team. 6. They say no leave policy but when you take leaves for any personal emergency you are nearing your firing date. 7. No one is clear about their role so everyone is working to make themselves relevant. 8. Walk into the office and you can identify the most enthusiastic person on the floor who seems to be enjoying the work is actually the one who is not doing anything. Whoever is offered a role please do your due diligence. Contact people who are ex-employees and for god's sake please listen to them. Don't make the same mistake that I did.
