Can be boring work and stressful

Low entry salary - barely liveable. Low salary ceiling. Low chance of transferring to technical specialities unless you are willing to forego normal working hours to do so. Predatory certification system that incentivises people to pay for courses which do not result in good employment outcomes. Rotating roster with poor management of schedule. Overtime is quite normal. Skills and experience are very niche to the organisation - poor career progression. High union presence and strike action due to poor pay but little to no significant movement in salary scale.
