Pros

Job Security: No matter how incompetent you are you'll be defended provided you're not support staff. Benefits: Teacher package, it's decent

Cons

Career Growth based on Finances as a kid: All jobs require a degree that is a specific number of years long, the content of the degree does not matter, long as its the correct length. Experience: No worth anything here, no one cares what you can do Growth: None, if you're not buddy buddy with some manager you may as well find a job elsewhere Pay: If you're not a teacher, your pay is dogshit, it's already bad before we get into deductions but then you get to pay into the teachers pension to benefit them deducting even more money as it loses value year over year

Lots of strong teachers doing innovative things.

Cons

Organisation is far too top heavy. Too many superintendents with superiority complexes.
