Pros

They come across as amazing and the best culture and a “family.” Enough to get you in the door and work endless hours before their true colors shine. Sam is great, Travis should not be running a company. There are still good people working there and that will be the only reason you get through your days but their time is limited too as it’s a revolving door of people.

Cons

The best part about doing your job correctly is that you get to do the job of 3 other people. When you voice your concerns, it is swept under the rug and given a robotic legalized answer that no human being would ever relay. They act like they care about you but at the end of the day all they care about is money and how they can stay float and will drop anyone at any time. They do not give raises. The only way to make more money is to move up a role but to get to a new role you have to sell your kidney and hope that the company budget can survive with your measly salary increase. They take away benefits from employees and company off-sites because they can’t afford to pay for it.

Pros

Some really great benefits such as WFH, Monthly Technologies and Wellness Stipends.

Cons

The company is spending way too much money on things that do not contribute towards growth and then ends up being stuck in a position where it has to grow at all costs. The issue with this is that it is an insurance company, not a software company. There are multiple big layoffs year-round to right-size the company, usually with bigger layoffs towards the end of the year as they need to cut the budget. Then, a few weeks later, there is a job posting for the position they just laid off. The company struggles to find its identity; it feels like it is neither a tech nor an insurance company. Work-life balance does not exist. One of their benefits is unlimited PTO, but good luck trying to take a day off. It's almost like digging your own grave. The company and leadership never bother to identify and fix the root cause problems. They rather just keep adding band-aids on top of band-aids until they can't do it anymore, and then maybe they'll use duct tape.
