Visualsoft is a company that has outgrown its directors and senior management. The decisions taken undermine staff morale, make the job harder, KPIs are extremely difficult to hit.
The flexi-time and unlimited holidays is a PR stunt to encourage more employees. Visualsoft view success as increased turnover and how many staff you can employee to release a press release about.
Unhappy clients are swept under the carpet, prices are constantly put up. Internal communication has gone massively downhill over the last few years.
The directors are used to managing a small company that has now exploded, and have no idea how to keep the company functioning with over 200 staff. Communication has shrivelled up, there's no overall direction. Teams change every month, but it's like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.
When I joined, the company was vibrant, staff were happy and engaged. Now the atmosphere is terrible. The open-plan office hasn't contributed to communication, but it makes everyone feel they're being watched. People leave feeling stressed, don't feel like they can take time off because they're over-worked and in a lot of departments, underpaid.
I'd consider very carefully before joining this company, as the last 18 months it has moved massively in the wrong direction.
