Pros

Serving needy population and making a difference in people's lives and health. Coworkers are dedicated and very good people. Downtown location. Some positions can apply for student loan repayment.

Cons

Benefits are not very good Health insurance is terrible Little time off - very few holidays Very stressful Upper management has very limited understanding of what job entails High turnover Staff burnout is very high Patients can be threatening and employees are not supported in feeling safe Upper management is condescending Management creates conflict between coworkers

Do you like being lied to?

Pros

Like most places I've worked my coworkers were great. The staff really care about their patients and do what they can.

Cons

The management and HR will straight lie to your face and then wonder why you're mad. It's all about looking good for auditors or whoever because they certainly don't do all the stuff they pretend to be about. Pretty sure they broke the law with their union busting too. THE WORST BENEFITS I'VE EVER HAD WORKING IN HEALTHCARE

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to see that we weren’t able to resolve your concerns while you were at UCNW. We respect the rights of employees to discuss unions and agree that we need to continue improving our employee benefits. In collaboration with our employee benefits committee, we are proud to report the following for our medical insurance in 2023: • Employee contributions did not increase (still zero) • Family contributions were reduced (again) We wish you the best in your new position.

Pros

Coworkers in the clinic were great as were the patients

Cons

The HR dept, which isn't in the clinics EVER, are horrible to deal with-very unfair, lead 'by the book' only and don't look at employees as individuals at all-you fit in their box or you're out
