Pros

You get to work in an industry that revolves around anime

Cons

Management does not seem to care how overwhelmed or overworked you are. Your pay does not reflect the amount of work you are required to do. Blatant nepotism, lack of care for their employees (they sat us in plastic folding chairs and party tables full time for months after rescinding our previous WFH arrangements) , management is petty and immature, and an overall hostile work environment that thrives on shifting blame unto others.

Pros

You get to work with pop culture, anime, and video games related products Middle managers are doing their best for their teams.

Cons

Senior management team is extremely out of touch with how the company is ran. Implements procedures that do little to nothing and ideas that offer no substance. They do not understand how operations are ran on a base level. Rampant toxicity, pettiness, and cattiness. You will be spoken to in a condescending and derogatory manner. Employees on all teams are doing the work of 2-3 people and are stressed, tired, and underpaid. Hiring more help does not appear to be a priority at this company. Morale and motivation are very low across the board. The company was initially full WFH, but slowly transitioned to hybrid, and then mandatory in-office. No office supplies. When transitioning to full time in-office, teams were working on foldable, plastic party tables. Office tables and supplies were not provided until 3+ months into working in office full time. Very baffling as to how in-office was pushed, but literally nothing was provided for success. Workflow and systems used are convoluted. Be prepared to work handicapped because SOPs are constantly changing every single week by senior management. There is no set way to do a task. ERP & CRM system is overly complicated and lags often. The company wants to move away from using Excel, but is still ran on spreadsheets and would fall to shambles if it wasn't.
