Terrible place to work and worse place to be a dog

Pros

Nice people to work with.

Cons

This place does not look out for the welfare of the dogs that wind up there. It is a factory that brings pregnant dogs from Puerto Rico and "adopts" the puppies for hundreds of dollars. The mother dogs and other large dogs rarely get adopted out. Some dogs have been there for years. There is very little training or correction offered to dogs that have fears, behavioral issues etc. Very sad.

Great place for animal lovers

Pros

Care and rescue of animals are number one priority. Always something new happening. The rescues are extremely rewarding. Watching animals get adopted is amazing. Pay is decent for a nonprofit... remember people the types of jobs are for animal lovers and not people wanting to get rich.

Cons

Very hectic work environment, which is not for everyone. Must be able to adapt to situations quickly and remain positive in light of rude customers.
