Growing Pains

Pros

The culture is one that is pretty relaxed while also wanting to push forward. The managers really care about their employees. Socially, the company has improved and really try to build community in a fully remote environment. Teamwork is encouraged and needed. Benefits are comparable to others in the industry. The leadership team cares about maintaining growth without sacrificing a work/life balance.

Cons

Overall, the biggest cons come from a lack of communication. Teams are often in silos and there is little connection from the entry-level jobs, to the management team. The company's focus is always on new products instead of fixing the older struggling products which can cause friction with customers. Many projects/opportunities get stuck in the "waiting for approval from leadership" land and then get forgotten about. The benefits are comparable but not amazing. However, a lot of this has grown over the last year. There are growing pains in making the company more "legitimate" and moving from a start-up to a sustained company that plans to be around for a long time. Company structure and processes seem to change every week.

Pros

Fully remote Flexible scheduling Good PTO Paid Holidays Much autonomy

Cons

Pay is pretty low really low and not market rate. As a christian based company, if feels like they want you to do it for the love of helping churches. No real growth opportunities within the company. Autonomy can come with the added stress of not knowing if you're doing something correctly.

Pros

Remote Work Flexibility: The ability to work remotely offers a decent work-life balance and the convenience to manage personal commitments alongside professional duties.

Cons

High-Stress Environment: The fast-paced nature of the work often leads to a high-stress environment. Meeting tight deadlines and handling numerous customer issues simultaneously can be overwhelming and exhausting. Limited Career Advancement: Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the company do not exist and are discouraged. Asking about other opportunities gets meet with a "well we hired you as a..." Despite expressing interest in transitioning to other roles, the pathway to these opportunities is not defined or accessible. Inconsistent Support: While there are moments of teamwork and collaboration, the overall support from management and peers can be inconsistent. This lack of reliable support makes it challenging to resolve complex customer issues efficiently. Technical Challenges: Frequent technical problems, such as numerous bugs that plague and upset customers. Communication Gaps: There are notable communication gaps between different teams and management levels. This often results in misalignment of goals and priorities, further complicating project management and customer support efforts.
