Pros
Working independently, some good employee benefits.
Cons
Area managers do not comminicate well and don't respect branch managers or colleagues, come off as cliquey. Poor communication leads to rest days being scheduled with barely any notice and usually not being informed on changes to the branch including machine maintenance. Training is lacking and what little is given is not well implemented in terms of structure and schedule. Long hours with no breaks, sometimes working 8 days in a row. In my role as branch manager, I singlehandedly ran the shop with the area team refusing to employ further staff. Area team rarely come to branch but when they do, they are disrespectful and ungrateful. Uniform policy Is strongly enforced with attempts at individuality being suppressed including wearing an extra layer on a cold day, you must wear their shirts and jumpers only. Holiday requests are rarely approved. Claim to be like a family, this may have once been true but their values clearly focus more on hitting targets than retaining loyal employees and customers.
