Don't do it

Pros

It is a young company with lots of room to grow. Lots of learning opportunities and is a great first job out of university.

Cons

It is a toxic work environment. You're expected to put TIG first before everything, including your personal life. If you have opinions, you won't be liked and it's a very "my way or the highway" attitude with senior leadership. They'll tell you you're "not living the values" if you speak up. If you aren't liked, you won't have a future there. Went through 2 rounds of layoffs as an employee there within 2 years, and they did another round of layoffs in 2021. Extremely long hours and very strict schedule. Say that they care about benefits, but there are rules of when you can and can't take time off.

Pros

The Intern Group has a very dynamic, friendly, and driven team. The teamwork inside the company is amazing. Everyone lives their values within the organization (Teamwork, Continous learning, Global leadership, and People focus). There are lot of professional development opportunities, constant global projects where everyone could learn about different aspects and functions, and great chances to grow in the organization. One of my favorite things is how international the company is, letting you meet people from all over the globe and understand different perspectives. There are good traveling opportunities and remote work is often allowed as well which help to connect with different team members across the different TIG destinations. Another very important aspect is the company's purpose which everyone in the team is very connected to and lives it on a daily basis. The Intern Group has been the best company I have worked at so far and I am so proud of being part of this amazing team and company.

Cons

People should learn and adapt to work with remote team members spread out across the globe and in different time zones . Remote and virtual meetings happen very often and flexibility in your schedule in order to join the meetings is also a requirement.
