Pros

Great benefits, paid parking (after 3 years), good vacation time, clean, good pay (but read Cons), friendly people (sort of).

Cons

If you want to move up in the automotive field, look somewhere else. This company is known for hiring from the outside instead of promoting from within. Also with this company, and from other dealerships, they will give the easy, good paying work to the new techs while the more difficult jobs go to the techs with more experience. You would think this makes sense, but it leveled the amount of money that everyone made and created a lot of shop drama. The more money you made per hour, the less hours you were going to make. So in the 7 total years I worked there (left once and came back), I made $18 more than when I started. But my overall pay at the end of the year never changed.

Dear Auto Technician - I am very sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience at THE COLLECTION. When a valued employee feels we have not exceeded their expectations, it is highly disappointing to us. Pros

Best reason to work here are the benefits. Now after I left they've added more but that's only because people were literally fleeing from this place.

Cons

Let's start with the facility. There's 2 toilets in the shop for 100 men and it's always occupied. The bathroom has never been cleaned. There's a booger on the wall since I've started 3 years ago and I'm sure it's still there. The bathroom floor is covered in mold. The bathroom doesn't have an air extractor so it always smells like crap. The basement is infested with roaches. You will step on a roach with every step you take and the basement is immense. (Porters, if the windows of the customer car is down, check for roaches before getting in.) The shop is guaranteed to give you respiratory problems in the long run. The extractors seem to not work properly and car fumes linger around more than they should. Techs smoke anywhere in the shop even though they have a designated smoking area in the shop for them. The wash is all moldy. At other facilities they are nice and clean, like everything and everyone in this building, it's neglected and there's mold on the floors and walls everywhere. You will slip and fall walking through the wash area because of how moldy and slippery it is. Working here is not great. You don't have support from the manager. You're just another number to them. The environment in this place will have you feeling stressed, miserable, tired, overwhelmed and even depressed once you start asking yourself how you ended up in that crap hole. It will take a toll on your mental health. Management apologized that my job sucks. That should say it all. Stay away.

Pros

Good money and good benefits

Cons

This company is very good example of how not run a company. It has more cons that what I could fit in this section. My advice to service advisors and technician is to stay away from this place.
