Could be something so much better than in reality

Pros

Cool office location. Some really nice hardworking people. Genuinely impressive products. Huge potential to be a great place to work

Cons

I've never worked in office which tolerates such disrespectful behaviour from senior management to staff. I witnessed and received some shocking behaviour. Senior management team takes pride in making people fear for their job on a daily basis. The staff turnover is huge, they seem to believe all problems are the individual people and not a wider issue. I saw some people worked so hard they were in tears after work. I saw management openly belittle, body sham and have "banter" whilst never allowing anyone to answer back. The sense self importance of certain senior managers was incredible, they really believe they're captains of industry and know everything. The HR team and social committee do try to build a sense of play hard / work hard but so often each "incentive" had an underlying catch. It was very much "take part or face consequences" despite the normal protestation being you had work which needed to be done. The owner is the best thing about the company and the worst. He's a genuine charismatic man with a clear passion to make his company a success. It is just so very sad that he is being blinkered by the 5/6 people he is paying a huge amount of money to for advice. Everyone get 3 months or so honeymoon period with him before someone feeds frustrations to him and the blame game begins. HR are not HR. Personal problems are ignored. They promote a Tech21 family with values. Well if I was a child of this family, I'd call NSPC in a heart beat.

Worst Experience in My Career

Pros

Location, many of the non-management staff and great individuals.

Cons

The Owner/CEO - runs the company with fear, creating anxiety through all the staff. Expect to work long hours with no support and certainly no thanks. Nothing that is done by the staff is ever good enough and if it is not to the owner's liking, you will know about it - fast.

The most toxic company I have ever experienced! Run away!

Pros

you meet few cool team members when you do actually get to come together as a group, but watch your back; not all are trustworthy.

Cons

By far the most toxic company I have ever experienced in my life. I've never been with a company that tries so hard to NOT incentivize you or take away any/all opportunities to make $$. The company brags about how much its grown year over year, yet you can't pay your employees on time and look for ways not to pay out bonuses. So-called "management" has zero experience in leadership. They never listen, trust, nor believe in their employees. Usage of profanity directly to you on a constant basis; cowardly approach of "kicking you while you're down" mentality from management and other departments. Aggressive language, which they try to justify as "dry British humor". Unacceptable! Company never celebrates any wins, but pounces on every possible negative situation that is happening with your accounts rather than trying to work together to find a solution. HR is a ghost 97% of the time, and if you're lucky to get a hold of them, they just prolong providing an answer to your concern. Nothing ever gets resolved. No confidentiality from HR either. Management sets unrealistic goals in order to not have to pay out incentives; i.e.: changes employee objectives and goals as they please, even a week prior to the end of the quarter. Owner is too into himself and his luxury cars and cares less about his employees. You're expected to justify your job every month/quarter through presentations, which feel like you're standing with a blindfold on in front of firing squad and they fire at will with negative comments about everything they can possibly find. Nothing productive ever comes out of these presos; its just a reason to make you do busy work and rather than work together to find solutions. Operations is simply a joke. Always over promise, and under-delivers, launch after launch, and full of excuses as to why they couldn't make it. The company culture and lack of structure and strategy wears on you quickly; you're better off waiting for a better opportunity. So disappointing because the company could actually have potential, but not with the people running it. Run away!
