Be prepared to not have your voice heard. Be prepared for a single (not mission-critical) mistake to lead to a write-up, assurance you won’t be fired for it, and then two months later a call with your manager and HR that you’re being let go for “performance reasons” after no subsequent issues. They constantly bleed talent and focus more on massaging the C-suite’s ego than making good calls about the direction of the products, messaging, or company. They will protect predatory execs and let them leave quietly of their own volition but let lower-level employees go at a moment’s notice. Culture is more than catered lunches and unlimited PTO. Truly a disappointing experience through and through.

Like many mid-size tech companies, resources can be tight so you need to be scrappy and wear multiple hats. The pace can be intense when there are competing priorities. Austin office is smaller so if you're looking for a huge ML team with tons of specialized roles, this might not be it. Some legacy systems and technical debt to work through.
