Pros

There are a few very talented and hard-working people. There is also a lot of experience and because of all the different areas Switch works in, there is a lot to be learned about different areas of marketing. Having creatives in the same building as a full shop is a big potential advantage over traditional agency life.

Cons

It is a morally incompetent company which demands mediocrity. There is a reason no one in their twenties works here! Doing good work dictates more work with no reward. The idea that employees "put in their time years ago" strangles the capable employees and has created an environment where people are encouraged to be incompetent. Forced fun outings such as happy hours and field day are selling points from the company's perspective but in reality are required attendance and nearly always result in working the weekend because of them. When wanting to learn a new skill – a skill I was using on multiple projects at the time – I was told the company not only would not provide support, I would not be allowed to use those skills even if I did learn them on my own time because "it is in someone else's job description."

Pros

Hands down has some of the best people to work with in the city. A lot of fun to be around and always good for a fun conversation.

Cons

Everything else...this company is a sweat shop. Its profits are built off of over working their employees to the point of exhaustion. Management has built a culture where advancement is based on your ability to play politics and undercut your co-worker instead of hard work.
