As a small company, there is no place to hide (which I admit is sometimes nice). It's a much more personal work environment than a Fortune 500 company. Everyone was peaceable enough, but I sometimes had a little friction with crude or bawdy humor (which I dislike). The director of sales was surprisingly active in keeping the peace, though, and keeping the humor to a PG-13 level.
Also, as it is with custom manufacturing, there were occasional delays in shipping orders. This didn't bother me, other than it upset the customer. There is the temptation to cover your tail sometimes, and make up a story about the delay.
