Thanks for your feedback –things like this can be tough to hear, but it plays an important part in our ability to continually improve. Unfortunately, given the minimal specific details about your tenure with the company that you provided, my ability to address your concerns will be limited but I’ll do my best.
Our company is now all under one roof (and has been for quite some time), and much of what you describe sounds like issues that were resolved years ago. I am very proud of the Springboard of today and all the great employee initiatives we have in place. I am pleased to say just within the past month we scored a 92 out of 100 on a reputable, national employee satisfaction survey, suggesting our current employees do agree with this statement. An emphasis on employee happiness is apparent in everything we do. It’s not just in our core values, we live our great culture every day.
It takes a specific kind of self-starting personality to thrive at Springboard and those of us that share those traits truly love working together. If you do not match that skill set I can imagine it would feel isolating at times, so it sounds like Springboard may have been a mismatch for your ideal work pace. While we don’t have months of formalized training like some large companies, we have clear criteria and standards, individualized learning plans and ongoing mentorship from our senior engineers that have decades of experience.
We are very proud of our tendency to promote from within the company, providing employees with a growth path despite our small size. So while you may interpret that to be a weakness, we see it as a strength and love continuing to invest in our people.
Best of luck as you continue your career! While we are sorry you didn’t have a great experience working for us, we hope that you’ve ended up somewhere that you are truly happy, as that is what everyone deserves.
