Pros

Salary decent. People are excellent. Certain leadership personnel trying to do what they can to make people feel secure.

Cons

CEO is a challenge. He is demeaning and often berates people openly. Retaliation and getting the last word are the order of the day. Turnover rate is very, very high.

Congratulations on your third job/company since leaving Spectrum. It is unfortunate that you continue to be a victim.

Pros

The employees are top notch individuals with excellent drive and passion. Product Development displays excellent ingenuity and creativity for solving customer issues.

Cons

Owner is fickle, judgmental, and moody. He sets the tone for the culture, and most walk on eggshells, especially on the Sales and Marketing side of the business. Most employees leave or are let go within 2 years, so job security is minimal. Family benefits are very expensive.

Pros

The employees that are NOT in Management, Directors or on an Executive level are some of the greatest people in the world to work with. I have not a bad word to say about any of them. We all worked our butts off to get things done. Since there is absolutely no praise or positivity that will ever come from management or above, they are truly the ones you will need to lean on during difficult busy times.

Cons

Worked there 8 years. I always got more than excellent reviews, if we got a review, which was part of the problem. Forget about raises and bonuses, you won't every get one. This is a family owned company and they definitely only look out for there family. The president/owner is impossible to please. You will never get praise but he will scream and yell obscenities at you at least once a week. He is also great at calling you out on the littlest mistakes in front of your piers, just to humiliate you. He does this to everyone, even upper management. It is very awkward to see you boss get screamed at right in front of you and your other co workers. The only reason I stayed so long was I did have a great boss (even though his hands were always tied by the executives to get any changes made) and my piers were awesome. I wish now I had gotten myself out earlier because by the time I left I had been so verbally abused, especially by the owner, I actually needed time to recover from it. And once I did I really felt like I had been brainwashed to stay. There is no opportunity to advance. I did know of two people who got promoted to new positions, but they never were compensated for it financially. Do yourself a favor, if they offer you employment, keep looking. It's better than taking the position, getting a few months or even weeks in, just to realize you have made a huge mistake.
