Pros

You are largely left alone to do your work. There are some little perks they provide like half days in the summer.

Cons

Management acts unprofessional and condescending. After 4 years of not receiving a raise a manager once said "you are lucky to work here". No you are lucky to have someone working for you that puts in a good effort. Management plays way too many favorites and forced many good people out by force. The company never had money to pay things yet a new executive was hired almost every couple months. Vendors have spoken poorly of this companies commitment to pay, even recruiting firms who placed people there. The base pay may be better but there are no real benefits or happiness to working here.

Pros

Schedule flexibility (under old management, this is no longer the case).

Cons

There are so many things wrong here I honestly don't even know where to start. From the company's poor decision making that resulted in countless layoffs in a very short time period, to lack of trust and communication, there is trouble at every turn. Healthcare plans are a joke, completely unaffordable. There are no evaluations, no pay increases, no engagement. Between the layoffs and people just feeling like there is no upward mobility or future at Sovereign, the motivation is non existent and morale is at an all time low. Employees experience physical anxiety and dread going into work every day. The office has become a ghost town full of empty cubicles as those remaining who are smart and talented continue to resign and look for better opportunities. At this point, there are resignations on a weekly basis from all departments. Sovereign penalizes people who resign by escorting them out immediately and docking their last pay however they can. Instead of being appreciative of people's time and contributions, they punish people for seeking what they are unable to offer their employees. They should instead be taking a good look at their treatment of their staff and how they do business. Perhaps since their plan is to ultimately give all the jobs to overseas staff, they could not care less. Their overseas team is also treated poorly and frequent resignations are common. I can go on but I feel enough energy has already been wasted here.
