Pros

benefits, strong workers union, serving the public, public servant,

Cons

horrible onboarding procedures, condescending work environment, nothing you do will ever be "enough", everyone talks behind each others backs, it feels like high school, management does not know how to communicate efficiently, immature management only there for their paycheck, tell you misleading information in interview process about WFH schedule and flexibility, as a former employee I did not feel safe and supported from management and coworkers, the gossip was real, the pay is not worth it, the WFH schedule was not worth it to stay in this department unfortunately. It was a very toxic work environment and one that I did not want to be a part of and have to worry about "office politics". Push employees out they don't like and don't communicate their feelings/needs on their end. Felt like a cult.

Pros

Flexible place to work with great people. Great benefits. Pension. Glad there's a strong union.

Cons

Mandatory on-site 1 day per week for certain people. Overly chatty coworkers made a very disruptive work flow.. Gate keeping of knowledge. Diversity and inclusion is getting better.
