- Hostile environment
When I first joined the Hamburg office, I felt in my gut something was off. I thought my colleagues were cold and stand-offish. Their silence was alarming, I felt like I was making too much noise when drinking water.
- High School mentality
It was like watching a bad High School movie and the worst culprits were the women in their 40+. It felt like it wasn’t about how good and dedicated you were, but who you were friends with.
- Dysfunction reigns
Meetings felt like a waste of time, full of confusion, unreal sometimes and I often felt a general fear of speaking from employees.
- The agency thrives on bullying and control
Tyrannical leaders that HR and top management seem to value. The basics: unwilling to communicate, showing position with degrading tasks, asking for things that don't need to be done, controlling your every move, couldn’t wait to pounce if you had made a slight mistake...
- Mediocre work
If you are a young creative looking to produce modern/meaningful/iconic campaigns, this is definitely not the place. The agency is 100% account driven. If you’re lucky, as an AD your job will be to search for images that account people (with questionable taste) will decide if worthy to present to the client, if you are unlucky you’ll execute badly designed leaflets for hair products.
