Pros

Under new leadership, Seattle Magazine is both revitalized but also still the pre-eminent city magazine founded by our city's earliest civic and cultural stewards from the 1950's to the 21st century.

Cons

There is unfortunate brand confusion with newer publication 'Seattle Met', who are competing vigorously and sometimes unfairly with Seattle Mag for the same advertising dollars. The Seattle Mag team is often given kudo's by advertising partners for taking the high road.

Pros

Ownership and Management respect individual thought and give a lot of freedom to create. I worked here for 12 years and learned a lot, earned a lot and contributed a lot. It is hard work+rewarding- that is what a JOB is. I was able to balance work and home life well. I moved up the ranks over the years. Seattle magazine is a great place to work if you love being surrounded by creative people and love working hard.

Cons

Media is extremely competitive so you must be too.

Pros

A few nice people there. Commission only earning potential is good

Cons

Watch your back. Every man for himself here. Management will fire if they personal don't like you or you question what they do. Very high school clicky. Run don't walk away from this place!
