Pros

Proximity to where you live.

Cons

Turn over—for a reason. Bedside technology unsafe for safe nursing and providers. MD has no access to nursing notes. Overrides lead to patient errors. No computers on wheels assigned to nurses. Handheld scanners only. Poor and unsafe nurse to patient ratio. Charge or director of unit always in staffing. Not available for support. Lack of knowledgeable and qualified nurses. All nurses are new or still there because desperate times. Poor masking, foaming, gowns. no hand washing. Limited, very short orientation and onboarding. Poor care, call light response, not sufficient tech staffing or they are always off the floor smoking or eating.
