Pros

- great cause, they do work that supports young people. Impact could be increased but the outcomes they work towards are beneficial to the young people they support

Cons

- mgmt use “high turnover in this industry” to cover for staff turnover due to burnout - exec don’t support staff or listen to them

Pros

Good food, cool hospitality staff, good cause

Cons

* Professional gas lighters and bullies * Leadership appears more concerned with protecting the organisation’s image than supporting employees. * Workplace culture can feel toxic, with gossip, favouritism, and cliques influencing decisions. * Some staff members are treated differently depending on their relationships with management. * Policies seem to be applied selectively rather than consistently. * Employees may feel judged before being heard, with limited opportunity to provide their side of events. * Trauma-informed care principles are promoted extensively, but at times their application can feel disproportionate or disconnected from common workplace interactions. * Communication lacks transparency and important decisions can appear predetermined. * Professional disagreements are not always handled constructively, creating an environment where staff may feel uncomfortable speaking up. * Morale is negatively affected by inconsistent leadership and a perceived lack of fairness and accountability. * Staff turnover and dissatisfaction are difficult to ignore * They will get rid of you if you’re not a fan of AFL or not giving ‘leadership’ attention
