Colleagues are great, Executives are less so.
Pros
The people I worked directly with were fantastic. They made going in everyday fun and enjoyable. The pay was okay.
Cons
The executive level and upper management seem to not recognize when their behavior and decisions negatively affect the rest of the employees and the company. At one point the CEO decided to only have meetings with and speak to about 5 other executives about business related things. Many of them are also not entirely qualified for their positions since they were hired based on their friendship with the owner. There were times when executives would give their uninformed request for us to change what or how we were doing something, making our jobs more difficult and less effective; instead of asking why we did something the way we did, they would simply butt-in and tell us what to do, rather than trusting us as qualified employees to do the job well. I always felt worried that my job could disappear at any time. There is zero job security. There is also poor communication between the different departments (many people don't respond to emails, text messages, or phone calls) and there are 4 different building locations across 2 cities, so talking to someone in-person isn't a convenient option.
