Pros

Pay is ok, bennies too...

Cons

They "lay--off" any DV who has noticeable increase in their disability when they can get away with it. In 2016 when they had a contract renewal, they declined to rehire 2 techs on the grounds of position cuts in the new contract. 3 months later they terminated several techs for refusing to maintain certification. Both laid-off techs who were certified) applied, but declined to rehire them due to "mobility issues".

I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience in 2016. At that time the employees that were let go most likely worked for the prime, which was not Rothe, but instead another company based in San Antonio. Rothe Development did not lay off employees during the 2016 transition. Rothe is now under new ownership since March of 2021. When the contract was renewed in 2021 Rothe retained all incumbent employees. Our policy is to work with employees with disabilities to make sure that they can work safely and effectively. We value our veterans and take pride in having them in our workforce. We would not support letting an employee go based on "mobility issues" or other disabilities.
