Pros

Somehow Rite Rug attracts many hardworking and loyal employees. A lot of nice people work there.

Cons

Out of the time I worked there I came across one or two people who actually liked it and felt they were treated fairly, out of dozens. The pay is pathetic, the insurance is extremely overpriced because the CEOs would rather line their pockets than help their employees, the training is a joke, management doesn't know how to lead and only provide threats and negative feedback, nepotism, racism, homophobia, and sexism run rampant.

Pros

Set work schedule Mon-Friday 7am-4pm. Major paid holidays off. Relaxed dress code that allowed you to wear jeans sweatshirt and sneakers everyday.

Cons

The company is a local family owned businesses that has ties to the community throughout OHIO therefore they make money. They are the largest flooring company and due to their established name they continue to grow. That is not because they have the best practices in place cause they don't. Training is non-existent, they have you watch and learn by observing someone who has experience and knowledge and a set routine. Then they expect you to know everything in 1 day and not make mistakes. If you make mistakes your job is in jeopardy and the building is on fire. Everyone works under the pressure they will get fired. With out notice or explanation .Just fired, there is no procedure for corrective action in place you just get terminated. They don't even have proper attendance policy in place. You can miss 7 days or more before being fired in a 30 day period. You don't get any type of consultation for that type of behavior as you would in a normal working environment. They have no sop standard operational procedure in force, there's no foundation to build from and work through. They use there computer database as the main tool for training, however that doesn't teach you the guidelines and rules to the functions of your job. The database is unreliable as it crashes. If the company doesn't set the perimeters correctly on the computer system to do your job based on your title then you don't have access to do your job correctly. You will make mistakes and not be able to perform your task. The title is misleading it's Customer Service, but your actually the scheduling booking liaison. Things change by minute from everyone that thinks they are in charge to make things easier for them not you. Upper Management takes care of themselves and others that they have grown up with, went to college with or worked with for years. The responsibilities of everyone is not distributed evenly, one persons workload can be enough for 3 people. The salary is not comparable to the job responsibilities. They don't even pay their installers favorable amounts for the job they do. When you ask for help it's hard to get it because they are so focused on their task at hands. They have an annual warehouse sale that they have been doing for decades in January and it' s the most chaotic process there is. Not to mention cause your on salary you work long hours during that time and get paid sweatshop wages. They try to offset it buy feeding you free food that the company pays for during the event. This years event was hosted by a roach coach. There is a culture that condone sexual harassment because of the construction industry that flooring is categorized under. "The boys club" However the woman are more sexually explicit and uses vulgar language on a regular basis, they are worse then the men. Rite Rug is in contract with homebuilders that are run by rats and scumbags. They are unethical and morally deceptive. They have no values except to make money.
