Pros

To be fair, they have a decent looking office on fifth avenue in New York. HR staff are generally nice and helpful. Some colleagues are hard working and decent people. The company holds some nice parties.

Cons

The company has very low budget and very tight timelines of delivering product. It put emphasis on product delivery rather than product quality. The company do not have resources and man power to document their products so you are walking in a maze if you work there. Some of the employees spend their days spying on others and tattle tale rather than being cooperative and focus on their work. The management is arrogant and condones such unproductive behavior. They treat very capable employees like garbage and let them go in an annual ritual. The company pays symbolic bonus and boosts morale by handing out "awards" which mount to nothing in reality. The stock option package is so small that a 9 year old can figure out that it is not worth much EVEN IF the company does have a great IPO.

Pros

It's convenient to subways and train lines, and there's a ping pong table if you actually get any free time to get up from your desk for anything other than using the bathroom. There's also pizza served weekly.

Cons

Are all of these reviews here for Reval? Either HR people are writing fake reviews to boost the score or they have rose colored glasses permanently affixed to their eyes. Micromanagement runs rampant in this company's culture, to the point it is crippling the company. Senior management doesn't trust their staff to do anything, and the email correspondence will show that to you quickly. Company culture is lacking. It is a "them vs. us" mentality - few teams actually work together. When something goes wrong, expect the finger pointing to begin. Low employee morale explains why so many openings exist in the company right now....they are running off the few qualified people there. The cream of the crop are being picked off by competitors and other industry companies, while those left are demoralized. I consider myself lucky to be giving notice shortly but feel bad for those being left holding the bag. They also give lowball offers to new workers. The only time that management steps up with raises are when their select few people threaten to leave for a competitor. That would be useful if the ones they did this for were always the most competent, but sometimes it's just for their "pets."

Pros

Flexible work timings Gym and ping pong table in the office Free Lunch Cab facility retirement paradise If you love playing different outdoor/indoor games, socialise, dine-drink with people at work and don't like your work, you will love this company.

Cons

If you work with this company for more than 2 years, then you will be no fit for market. Obsolete technology. mediocre's place of work. People who should be fired are promoted and become head of other teams Some people get unlimited WFH where as other might not be allowed for more than two days WFH a month Too much favouritism and politics. No respect for hard work and actual good ideas. Person who is good at pretending gets appreciated. People are being fired for no reason known. CSR team whose job is to sell the stuff on each occasion and convert office to a market place.

I want to thank you for your review and for recognizing how important a great work/life balance and culture is for Reval. Reval is made up of highly motivated and extremely talented individuals. The work is fast paced, exciting, innovative and rewarding. While this creates a great environment for very talented people, it is not for everyone. If you are unable to quickly become a significant contributor, you will likely not fit in. Our India office in particular, is a significant contributor and is one of our offices that is expanding under the great local leadership we have in place. Reval is very passionate about giving back to the communities that we work in. If that passion of our local CSR team offended you in any way, please know that their action just reflects how deeply they care about our local communities. If you would like to discuss your current situation, please feel free to reach out to Deepti Achanta at +91 124 71 68251 or me, Henry Janssen +1 212-901-9835.
