Pros

Great location, decent office space with ping pong table, darts board and PlayStation.

Cons

Culture of ups and downs, inconsistent management styles, lack of trust that staff are doing their job, lack of flexibility (you can't grab a coffee or cig outside you lunch hour). Expect passive aggressive emails from management - even outside long hours (8-6 expected min). Throwback to recruitment ten years ago/school.

Thank you for your feedback and we’re obviously sorry to hear you feel you had such a negative experience during your short career at Reuben Sinclair. We have a work from home policy, monthly ‘Champ Camp’ (an anonymous feedback forum with management excluded) and 360 feedback forum. All of these are in place to provide people with work-life flexibility, a ‘voice’ within the business and a safe environment to feedback on challenges, frustrations and ideas from an individual and wider business perspective. None of these can succeed without a culture of trust of collaboration which we believe we have in place. We can always improve which is why your feedback is valued but I also think it’s important to address a couple of confusing points - we have a free coffee machine that is open to everyone, whenever you want. Additionally, your contracted hours are 8:30-17:30. Let’s be realistic though, 8-6 is not long hours when first starting your career in recruitment or any other entry-level role in London but that is not expected of you at all. Having said that, everyone is finishing at 4pm today. Additionally as reference, we have two ‘Global Recruitment Consultants of The Year’ in our team who joined us at the start of their careers and we are confident we provide the framework for others to be just as successful and continuously continually improve. All new starters are provided with all the tools and training to be successful, the rest is down to attitude and behaviour. If you’re a clock watcher who requires multiple cigarettes to function throughout the day, we wish you’d made this clear at interview stage as you would not have been offered a position in the team. Finally, we’re not very confident you worked in recruitment ten years ago – Reuben Sinclair does not ask anyone to make cold calls, you have your own training budget (we deliver an award winning training programme in parallel) and over 70% of our new business acquisition is driven via inbound marketing. We don’t feel this reflects the industry a decade ago and as a forward thinking and innovative recruitment agency this is why we have been recently recognised as a Top 3 Recruitment Agency by APSCo – the industry body for best practice within recruitment. Thank you for your feedback and good luck for the future.

Pros

Great training from management and a positive / encouraging environment to work in. Flowing office cooperation and constructive peer to peer support.

Cons

Not a negative point specifically about Reuben Sinclair, but recruitment in general can often be quite a stressful environment to be within.

Thank you for your comments. We welcome feedback during your period of employment as well - it is why we have an open forum especially designed for newer employeesd to be heard. Our salaries and commission schemes have both been benchmarked in 2018 against APSCo and Hunted.com and are listed as 'above average' and 'exceptional' respectively. We also provide a guaranteed commission scheme for new starters who are showing the right attitude and behaviours but potentially finding it a little slower to make headway. We encourage anyone with problems to discuss with anyone at SC or above or to use the anonymous Champ Camp forum to feed back directly to directors. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
