If you love Remedy because of their mission, that’s great, but it’s not the place it once was. In the early days we had a number of high value products, executives that truly believed in them, employees who would die for this company, and partners who were engaged and dedicated. Today, things feel very bleak and what we do is not unique anymore and those people that once inspired our mission are gone. Executives could care less about what’s happening in the company, managers are ineffective and over compensated, and HR more closely resembles Batman’s arch nemesis, two-face.
The general consensus is that this place is going under and the culture has shifted accordingly. The people that actually add value and do the work are leaving in droves. You had the chance to keep these people, but you chose to put them under incompetent managers instead of empowering them and trusting that their years here may have actually lead to some expertise.
