Pros

Not many pros. The lower level people are all amazing. Casual dress as long as you work at the corporate office.

Cons

The most toxic work environment you will ever encounter in your life. The "Why" is just words, no real meaning behind it except to make upper management feel good about themselves. They suck people in and then make it impossible to leave because of the flexible schedule that most people need. Religion keeps bleeding into the work space (I.E. the chaplains that walk around under the guise of being "Care Partners"). If you bring anything to HR or upper management they just explain it away and your concerns are never really addressed or fixed in any way. Gaslighting happens all the time. Certain people in upper management do nothing but get all the credit and promotions even though they can't even handle being a manager of any of the employees. Could be a great place to work but unfortunately it just keeps getting worse and worse and will continue to do so until a huge change at the top happens.

Dear Reviewer, As the current head of human resources, I’d like to thank you for your feedback. I joined RRCU October of 2020 and have made it my core objective to make sure your experience stays firmly in the past. Since your tenure we have adopted external training aimed at developing effective, yet transformational leaders. We have made significant strides in making sure our Core Values are at the center of all that we do and committed to hiring management staff who intimately understand our “Why.” RRCU is also committed to helping our team members pursue their greatest aspirations and have taken a thorough look at compensation modeling. It is my pleasure to say we are continuing to make advancements in how we compare to the industry and aim to compensate generously and at the top of the market. I do hope you have gone on to truly love what you do and have found the right organization for you.

Pros

Offers classes to strengthen skills and knowledge. Good overall executive management.

Cons

Red rocks credit union is more of a high school social playground than a workplace. Have a group of loud disruptive co workers who gossip and nobody discourages them.

Not bad but not good

Pros

They mean well and have good but misguided intentions.

Cons

RRCU is heavy on the propaganda and lite on real successes. There’s a lot of talk but no real action. They use EOS for an operating system, although a nice thought, it just can’t be effectively plugged in everywhere and ends up being busy work. Busy work is also the name of the game. Leadership likes to assign projects, clog up your time and once delivered you never hear back from them, time wasted you can’t get back and is demoralizing. If you’ve been around forever you’re allowed to be incompetent, mediocre at best. Marketing is laughable yet praised, customer care has struggled for years but still has the same people in place. Leadership is allowed to fail but gets praise (CFO smiles but emails are passive aggressive and condescending). clique heavy and even though they say employees matter they do things that only result in a worse experience and you feel left out. Overheard one of the secretaries gossiping about another employee and i knew then Red rocks wasn’t for me. No training, no real perks and benefits and food doesn’t count. Management gaslights and makes you feel like everything is roses but in reality it’s all smoke and mirrors.
