Not for the lazy

Pros

Always busy. Never really much down time. So time tends to fly buy. Goals for the day/week/period are always clear to the management team. Upward mobility is there for those who own their development.

Cons

It’s all shift work. Even salaried managers have shifts that fluctuate from early mornings to late nights. All crews have some bad apples. So the few crewmembers are lazy, have bad attitudes, and are hard to manage can be draining. Especially if you don’t have support from upper management.

They respect your availability but you may have to work some rather late nights with some restaurants being open past 2am

Mold, No hours, Suffering.

Pros

Employees are able to get free soda.

Cons

Management is very rude and disorganized. Your schedule is not consistent and you might not be able to work even 5 hours a week.. They underpay for the workload. Employees do management tasks. Homeless people urine and defecate all over the bathroom and employees are required to “deep clean” the bathroom (yes that includes scrubbing.. the toilet. There is no safe chemical practice. My main job was to clean the bathrooms at night and supervisors would encourage mixing chemicals. Upper management will be furious if everything isn’t dusted and there are nights where employees have to clean the picture frames. I’ve seen workers in the back of the kitchen not wear gloves when marinating the chicken which they marinate on the ground. The staff are rude and controlling. They put you in dangerous situations especially at night. You will be overworked and miserable. Oh and once there was mold in the pipes just so customers know. There were 2 weeks where the drinks including the water tasted disgusting, yeah management found out there was mold in the pipes.
