Pros

- By far the best team i have worked with in my professional career (NY and not STL) and truly consider them friends rather than colleagues. - Given the opportunity learn and grow. - 401 (K) is great. -

Cons

- Forced turnover / layoffs (project Columbus, triangle, pistachio) - Clear preference in strengthening Rural (STL) and downsizing NY - Cost cutting initiatives: Project Columbus, RDS, down from 3 floors to 2 - Passive Aggressive attitude from STL members - No assigned seating in the new space - Very low employee moral - Poor culture (employees are below the line) - Dutch compensation rather than US (NYC) compensation - Low retention on young staff - No accountability - Very low engagement. Departments do not work well together which is a problem. - Slow decision making process - Compliance issues

Pros

Ability to transfer between departments. Minimal manager oversight/micromanaging as long as you get your work done. Hybrid work policy for almost all positions. Most employees are easy to get along with and fun to work with.

Cons

Slow to promote internally in my opinion. I had to transfer departments to get a promotion I believe I was due for 2-3 years. Recent layoffs in 2024 were very stressful; we were told layoffs/downsizing would be happening ~6 months before it actually occurred. No one had any idea if their positions were on the chopping block or not for those ~6 months. A lot of people were let go in 2024.

Pros

The management takes care of people. It’s like working for a small company that makes money and doesn’t have layoffs every three months.

Cons

Kind of low tech. Need to “get with the times”.

Pros

Great benefits package Midtown office location Great Corporate Social Responsibility New European Modern Office decor Great Senior Management updates to front, middle, back office employees on changes to economic, culture and infrastructure changes

Cons

Restructuring of back office work processes and the business downsizing due to the excuse of netherland and US economy doing poorly/mass globalization across banking sectors has turned an overall competitive, great mid size bank into the Art of War. Layoffs, severances, dirty politics have killed the culture. No bonuses after 2014 for back office professionals. Indifference to legacy employees. Downsizing due to poor senior management decision affected middle to back office drastically. A back office political, hierarchy death permeates culture making it challenging to excel.
