Pros

Free drinks, flexible, and decent pay

Cons

Horrible management, need to do better at training. My manager is very passive aggressive I did everything that I was told and used everything that they trained me to do however they still call me lazy and incompetent worker. Manager does nothing but look at her phone and sometimes helps you work. Embarrasses you in front of customers if you make a small mistake not professional at all.

Pros

- Flexible work timing - Convenient location

Cons

Used to be a senior barista full-time for over 3 years. The moment I mentioned wanting to convert to a part-time staff, the manager and area manager started treating me terribly. I was terminated without notice and they did not even tell me I was terminated, just removed me from the main work group and waited for me to ask. Reason given for my termination was me being late, although I had only been late for 5 minutes once in 3 years, and the manager who terminated me is always late... very obvious double standard. They will terminate staff they don't like once you become less useful to them. This is not the first time they have terminated staff without notice simply by removing them from the group. Management also extended operating hours to 1130PM. When staff brought up concerns about not being able to catch the last bus home, the response given was "I don't care how you go home as long as sales are good" Because of the constant cutting of manpower, there are only 2 staff working in the outlet. Because of this, staff are forced to takeaway food and eat their 45-minute break in the store. Even the break cannot be considered a break, because if the store gets busy during your break you have to stop eating and help. Sometimes not enough staff working, so management only arrange for one staff to work in the outlet, no matter how busy. Unable to take breaks, even have to stop eating whenever customer come in. Pay is low, below market rate. $9.6/hour for part-time staff.
