Pros

It's a decent start up with some good people. No hard set work hours.

Cons

Lots of turnover, positions and projects should have more concrete accountability.

Pros

If you're looking to work on something meaningful, this is the place to be! The concept and impact is great and it's a really unique startup environment. In my experience, the management team was clear, supportive and collaborative. Most people have a great relationships with them, but it definitely depends on how strong of an employee they are and how much they can be trusted. A lot of the negative people are gone, which has really improved the work and culture here. It's been a huge improvement. The rest of the team is awesome-- positive, smart, effective and fun!

Cons

Pay could be more but we never have to stay late or work weekends, so it's nice to be able to work for a startup and also have a personal life + not be stressed.

Great Concept, Poor Management

Pros

I enjoyed the work that I did and what the company stood for. It is an exciting venture and you feel like you're contributing positively to society.

Cons

Poor management, pay and super high turnover. I really attribute this to the lack of experience in the upper management levels. It's unfortunate because you THINK that you are working for a startup so the atmosphere will be collaborative, you'll have autonomy and room to be creative. You don't. It's a very tightly run ship and one where managers do not trust their employees. You are literally being watched from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Even coffee breaks are timed and you'll get dinged if they think you 'take too long'. During the massive hurricane and blackout last year employees without electricity were told to respond faster to emails - ridiculous! So, warning to those looking to work here - it's like working in a highly micromanaged environment where the goals are always changing and you're never trusted. Lots of secrecy too - just not an environment I enjoyed. Everyone I know that worked there was looking to leave. The pay is also bad - they are extremely cheap.
