Pros

- Easy to accumulate ACSW hours quickly - Health benefits provided - Supportive and collaborative direct staff

Cons

- Management team can be unsupportive and, at times, intimidating - Frequent experiences of microaggressions and passive-aggressive - communication from leadership - Limited support or advocacy from supervisors - Clinicians often feel undervalued and overextended - Workload expectations can exceed reasonable limits, with unclear role boundaries. - Hiring managers are bias and already know who they want to promote. I was a third wheel in many hiring opportunities. Overall, during my time here, I often felt overworked, underpaid, and professionally undervalued. There were instances where responsibilities extended beyond my role, including completing tasks typically assigned to supervisors. Additionally, the management style could feel overly controlling, which impacted morale and autonomy. While the organization offers good opportunities for gaining clinical hours and has strong frontline staff, improvements in leadership approach, communication, and clinician support are needed to create a healthier work environment.

Pros

Provides decent training and supervision; camaraderie among staff was encouraged and felt; meaningful work.

Cons

Low pay, chronic under-staffing resulting in being over-worked/exploited, inexperienced management incapable of problem-solving often depending on underlings to solve problems that were management's responsibility, culture of never being satisfied, constant nitpicking and failure to appreciate forrest for the trees.
