Pros

Hadn't checked the Glassdoor reviews in a while so I thought I would provide an alternative to all of the great reviews that Proco's HR/Marketing team have written lately. Company has been in a state of flux for about 2+ years now, multiple offices across the business have had their headcount reduce by half, some even more. There are a few outliers but generally speaking the headcount has been flat or (mostly) shrinking. The caliber of new hires has significantly declined. The business used to be able to attract experienced consultants, but now they can only seem to attract very low level recruiters, sell them the dream, and then scratch their heads when they inevitably fail and leave after 1 year because they are making no money. The companies financial performance has been so bad that they recently had to get a loan from a pretty dodgy looking "alternative lender". In keeping with tradition, they tried to spin this as positive news, but I am not aware of many companies who are performing well who have to solicit the services of a mezzanine lender to "re-balance existing credit facilities". I'm sure the company is making enough money for the management group to line their pockets however.

Cons

Culture is horrendous , toxic, and in some cases bordering on harassment. All you have to do is take a look at the lower ranking reviews on glass door, these are the ones that truly reflect the internal culture of the business. The fact that the marketing team are recycling the same BS reviews on here that they were touting 4 years ago speaks volumes. If you are a new recruiter looking to get a bit of work experience, then by all means join, keep your expectations very low, and use this as a platform to get some training and development, then leave when something better comes along. If you have more than 3 years of experience working in recruitment, steer well clear of this mess.

Whilst we take all feedback seriously at Proco Group, This is simply a personal attack on someone within our business, and is not a review, and as such it is not helpful to anyone considering joining our business. As a Global Recruitment business we have worked hard at Proco to build a culture and drive a set of values that we are extremely proud of across all our offices, and we appreciate this doesn't suit everyone. I am extremely disappointed that you felt the need to submit this personal attack on such a public forum as a form of "feedback".. As you know Glassdoor reviews are anonymous, and often misleading in terms of the location of the person writing it. But if you would like to talk more about your specific comments . I would welcome the opportunity to discuss it, please do get in touch directly for a confidential conversation donna.carolan@procoglobal.com

Pros

- Transparent career progression, not limited by age, sex or length of service - The most inclusive culture I've ever worked in. Truly Global, with opportunity to work with colleagues across regions to deliver the best service to clients and candidates - Really good incentives, including paid sabbaticals and extra 3 day weekends - Relaxed culture, flexible work hours and casual dress - Working with some incredible recruiters with great opportunity to learn from them - Entrepreneurial mindset, if you identify an opportunity the leaders will support you to go after it

Cons

- There is no patience for people who do not have a strong work ethic and who aren't trying. I'm frustrated by some of the other reviews here because the comments are untrue and unfair. The business has a long term view and if employees are doing the right activity they will be patient with them. It's the people with a chip on their shoulders, who expect everything to be done for them and aren't prepared to roll their sleeves up who don't succeed here. - I'd say expectations are high, but the rewards on offer are exceptional so it's worth it.
