Not a good company for working

Pros

it's terrible to do design work in this company. Imagine in your brain every piece and assembly in 3D but produce your fabrication drawing only in 2D, because they don't work in 3D. Many errors in lot of drawings, even the machine they've made. They ask you to finish your design work in only about half of the time normly required so everybody do overtime. The worst thing, they lay off employee every 3-4 month.

Cons

no challenges, only pressure, endless pressure.

Pros

Proceco has been a major player worldwide in industrial cleaning equipment now for 45 years. As someone who's worked here for nearly two decades, I've seen lots of developments. People come and go. Market conditions change. Technologies change. Through it all, Proceco has provided an environment where employees can contribute and grow ***if they put in the effort.*** Currently, we're implementing state-of-the-art engineering practices, developing new green technologies for a changing world, expanding employee benefits and services, and enhancing our customer support. if employees have the desire to learn and grow, this can be a really exciting place to work. It's all about attitude and professionalism.

Cons

There are no cons here that don't exist in all companies. Throughout my career at all companies where I've worked, there have those who feel the grass is always greener elsewhere... until they actually get there!

Pros

Good accessibility from south shore and by subway and bus. For now they are the only manufacturer of part pressure washing machines at Montreal.

Cons

They hire engineers for short term projects and when project is finished they easily fire you. Market is not stable and company is not competitive. Design department mostly consist of designers with 20+ years experience at the company. They only work with AutoCAD and they never what to switch to 3D. Once new project is done by you (an engineer ), they transfer to 2D and if new project doesn’t come they let you go. Toxic mid level management culture. Then this culture spreads to lower level too. Technology is out dated. The R&D projects were left without any result just to absorb gouvernement grants. Too much change in management!

Proceco Response

We appreciate your feedback, although we do not believe this is the situation at Proceco. We believe in the development of our employees and very much value their loyalty. The average work experience in the engineering team is 12 years (from 2 to 27 years seniority), and the turnover rate is very low. Since 2019, PROCECO has invested more than 6500 hours in the necessary training and conversion of our drawings to 3D models. Our engineering employees are exposed to many aspects of engineering; mechanical, electrical, and automation, etc.. We invest in their training so that they master the complexity of our equipment. It is fundamental that all PROCECO employees share our core values (Customer Focus, Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, and Accountability), and it sometimes happens that we have to separate ourselves from those who do not.
