Pros

Really the best thing at Premier was the work force. Everyone is willing to teach and work collaboratively

Cons

The C Suite looks at numbers on a spreadsheet rather than employee longevity and contributions. Has had a RIF every year for the last 4 years, resulting in the elimination of very long term employees who contribute greatly to the company vision. Also, the chance for education and career growth is limited to certain roles only

Pros

- Competitive compensation and benefits. - Roles are generally stable, with limited risk of layoffs compared to industry peers. - Variety of projects can make the day-to-day work somewhat engaging. - Generous PTO and sick leave policies. - Some strong professional relationships can be built with colleagues.

Cons

- Leadership lacks a clear vision or strategy, leading to confusion and misalignment across teams. Leaders are often unapproachable or dismissive of feedback, creating a top-down culture. - The return-to-office mandate has negatively impacted work-life balance and employee morale. Hybrid scheduling often feels more like a restriction than a benefit. - Turnover has left many teams understaffed and overworked, causing burnout and frustration. Some teams lack collaboration or cohesive leadership, making it difficult to execute effectively. - The company’s values feel more like slogans than lived principles, leading to disillusionment among employees. - Processes and workflows are outdated or overly bureaucratic, causing unnecessary delays and frustration. Limited access to modern tools or resources further hinders productivity. - Employee feedback mechanisms feel performative, as concerns are rarely addressed in a meaningful way. Decisions are often made without consulting the people most affected, creating a disconnect between leadership and staff.

Pros

Flexibility in WFH options depending on department. Great people. Options for growth within your own team or throughout the company as a whole. Pay is standard and benefits are average. Overall for a corporate structure, they do a decent job considering the size of the company and the volume of different products and business lines they manage.

Cons

Seems to be a continued focus on acquiring companies to solve problems or remain competitive rather than invest heavily in evolving and improving the current infrastructure. Certain processes/technologies are in drastic need of overhauling or improvement, and despite our claims, my personal opinion is that our technologies could be better. Typical corporate struggles of not firing or demoting underperforming personnel, especially at the management level. Seems that about once a year there is a round of layoffs due to "restructuring or recent acquisitions" so depending on what you do and where, job security might not always be present. Merit increases in salary are minimal, Performance bonuses are rarely seem to hit the full percentage that is touted in hiring process, despite overall company performance.

Pros

Good pay, good office location, many good people.

Cons

The company changed 180 degrees when it went public. No longer an environment that actually values the employees, their knowledge or their contributions; layoffs happen regularly either large-scale or one-offs; experienced employees are easily expendable so cheaper, less experienced and less knowledgeable replacements can be brought on-board to "make the quarterly revenue number." The turnover of corporate technology personnel is endless. Once a solid place to work, that's long gone.
