If you're seeing this, think twice

Pros

Hard to think of even one

Cons

1. Surprisingly no bonus, and overall pay is the lowest in the industry as far as I can tell. Meanwhile, the boss expects you to work as hard as he does. 2. The job description is about 80% fake. If you're in an interview, make sure to ask exactly what you'll be doing — because once you join, they'll put you in a completely unrelated role. This is how they've lured in plenty of good candidates. 3. The company's operations are highly unprofessional. What you learn here won't be recognized or accepted by any decent company. And the management is a complete mess. 4. The other "good reviews" are fake, most likely added by management themselves to polish their image. Go check the bad reviews — those reflect the real situation. If you're serious about your career, I'd suggest not joining. Stay where you are or wait for another offer. This kind of move would be a step backward.

Flexible work with tech exploration amid resource and spec challenges

Pros

Flexible working hour and environment. You can WFH for 1 day per week. Provides opportunities for exploring new technologies and tools and integrating to the system.

Cons

Compensations are not attractive and motivative enough. Lack of team resources and concrete product specification. Bespoke client requirements are overwhelming and forces you to make lots of technical debts.

Pros

Hard to think of even one

Cons

The turnover here is incredibly high, with a constant stream of departures that leaves the company perpetually struggling to hire and replace staff.Once you join, you are completely on your own because the culture lacks any real teamwork. You will end up spending far more time navigating fragile egos and keeping people happy than doing any actual work. The environment is highly passive-aggressive, where people tend to do the bare minimum, flatter management, and take credit for work that isn't theirs.Leadership doesn't trust anyone, and there is little care for product quality. If you try to focus on doing things the right way, management will criticize your speed, humiliate you, and constantly interrupt your workflow. The office atmosphere involves a lot of shouting and disrespect, alongside a noticeable bias in promotions and racial stereotypes openly targeted at Chinese employees.Leaving was the best move for my career. Joining this company is a massive step backward.
