Pros

- Interesting work - Benefits and allotted vacation time

Cons

- For any future prospects looking into Powertech Labs, be mindful of the current climate - Provide better incentives and training - Salaries are quite subpar for the amount technical knowledge required for projects - Equipment is old, outdated and broken. Can't keep putting band aids on things that should have been addressed ages ago - Money being spent on renovations should have been spent on equipment and training

Pros

Good benefits, some interesting work.

Cons

-Salary below industry standard -Old school management (bullying, intimidation, unprofessional) -Have to be a "yes man" or you will be pushed out -Management will openly talk about employees in a disparaging manner -More important to play office politics than be skilled in your job -High overhead with many support staff that do nothing -High bill out rate drives clients away -Very little team work with no oversight of risky engineering projects -Some managers have zero industry experience and are instead bureaucratic academics -Management will never admit its faults (there are many) it always lays blame on employees -Distrust between management and union staff

Great benefits, toxic work culture.

Pros

Great benefits, pension, lots of vacation, experts in many different fields.

Cons

Very political, lack of support for technicians, expect to do a lot of work outside your field of expertise. Management keeps getting promoted, while the technicians get more on their plate, with little compensation.
