Good Company Awful Leadership in Legal Dept.

Salary, benefits, perks, location, etc.

Cons

Hours (unpaid mandatory overtime), no leadership, unclear assignments/role and overall unpleasant experience with co-workers. Do not recommend working in the legal department.

Great Company Lousy Management

Pros

This is a great company as a whole to work for. The benefits are superior to most other company’s.

Cons

AP is not a highly desired role in the company as shown by the high turnover in the group. The rate is almost 100%. Upper management should look into why there is such a high turnover. The Controller shows favoritism towards other groups in Accounting that are not AP and doesn’t give all the same opportunities as the rest. Different groups in accounting are treated differently. Also, the Controller needs guidance on how to give constructive criticism without belittling as she always makes employees feel inferior in their abilities.
