High Expectations for a New Business- To much for one person to market, and run alone. Little Effort from the Franchise Owner to help make the studio a success. More of an Owner than an Operator. Financial limitations on Marketing made it difficult to properly keep New Guests coming through the door. Training on the virtual background system was limited and didn't feel prepared to use it when the Studio opened. None of the Executives of the company were familiar with the operations of a RETAIL portrait studio which made it challenging to set an obtainable budget goal. Hard to directly communicate with Store Management, it was a busy store so it was difficult to schedule meeting times- Which was very understandable!! Location of the studio was great in the beginning. Until the self checkouts were installed directly in front, it became less noticeable, as not as much traffic came through. No paid holidays or sick time, Worked EVERY Weekend because it was single staffed. No time and a half on Sundays
