Great people but no career development

Pros

You'll work with passionate, smart and kind people that are passionate about the product and industry.

Cons

It's a scale-up so they hire their way out of senior positions opening up. They talk about personal growth and career development but nothing comes out of it. Many employees (including myself) have been there from the early days and are still in the same positions.

Not the best place to work

Pros

- Good location and some good colleagues

Cons

- Poor management with lack of leadership experience - No development opportunities - Employee benefits are very much below standard - no pension etc. There is a lot of talk about benefits, but you will experience that they talk the talk but not walk the walk - Departments are extremely isolated from each other - no one knows what each other are doing - Adverts are saying you can work remotely, but this is also interpreted quite differently in each department

Pros

- strong opportunities for professional development - a fast-growing organization - significant responsibility with end-to-end ownership of processes - the opportunity to drive impact and create tangible results - a proactive, solution-oriented mindset (strong “can-do” mentality)

Cons

High workload with an expectation of frequent overtime Limited planning and task prioritization A culture where open and vulnerable dialogue can be challenging; a strong “can-do” attitude is often expected, and critical feedback may be perceived as negativity There are too many managerial layers and stakeholders involved, which often leads to stalled processes and frequent changes in direction. As a result, decisions are made late in the process, causing significant inefficiency and wasted time
