Pros

I earned 5figure thats all I like. Opportunity to know w top mgmt as I hv privelege to deal w them. My opportunity to be visible is high as compared to my colleagues. In the 3rd month I joined I already had a mentor a very senior respectable senior manager who was willing to befriend w me offer great advice.

Cons

Petronas Way not open to new ideas. - Favoritism by boss. - My boss senior manager scream at me raise voice. She is not macro vision. She condemns me even for very tiny matters. - my colleagues gossip because I go out w married man who is my mentor. they report to my boss. - junior staff doesnt respect senior new boss. - Arrogance is everywhere. Is this a disease ? - people kill backstab each other front n back just to get to the top n gain bosses' attention. - Cubicles ?! please remove all these boxes. Its soo yesterday! - my boss micro manage n monitor our clock in clock out..we must be at our desk all the time except if we hv meetings outside. - ESSENTIALLY MY BOSS IS THE PROBLEM ! SHE IS MONSTER SHE SHOULD BE EVICTED KICKED OUT FROM PETRONAS !!!!! Many staffs in my dept leave because of her. - she has good rapport w board members n she has 2 face so that top mgmt doesnt know her bad behavior/treatment w her staffs. -

Pros

A lots of training opportunities to enhance competencies Great mobility whereby you can change role or operating units and chances to work overseas Good leaders with clear vision

Cons

Slow career progression due to the current structure. Might take minimum 4-7 years for a junior executive to be promoted to senior executive. Unclear job scope. Being an operation executive in the region office, most of the time I was assigned to do non-technical stuffs or most of the time being like a messenger between offshore and office (which should be done by a planner itself) which hinders me from doing things that is really technical and related to my job scope. This is kinda demotivational. Nevertheless, you get to know a lot of people through these unrelated assignments. Lesser benefits and lower salary as compared to other oil and gas companies
