Pros

Some of the perks offered.

Cons

Shift patterns. You can loose bonus for any reason. HR gossip about you to colleagues I've heard this first hand. Managers coming to work on drugs and ignoring agents who come to work drunk. Micromanagement from the "management team" People are on different wages, they are advertising new roles for 19k but people on the same job role on for 21k. No work life balance. They pretend to care about mental health.. but as long as you do your job right?? Also please look at the dates for glassdoor.. they asked colleagues to do this during certain days.. as a previous manager they did ask me to ask "certain staff" to leave a good review. Progression is not there within the company, even if there is a position its if your face fits and the management in place like you. Redundancies are continuous, if your leaving another safe job for this one.. then your taking a risk. FCA are really coming down on this company and I would be surprised if I see them trading within the next 2 years. On the outside the perks and thr company might seem good but grass isn't always greener on the other side. Agents bully people, and when they don't get their own way they go to HR which is weekly occurrence.

Pros

New office space was brilliant, some genuinely great people. For a 6 month period, performance and morale was amazing.

Cons

Oppressive environment, disciplinary culture, & tribal behaviour between departments to the detriment of everyone. Also, the high score of the company on Glassdoor is because agents were told to review the company and advise their line manager when they had done so. Look at the bulk reviews on certain dates, dead giveaway. My last review is not showing for some reason, who knows why. Regardless, when lockdown came into effect in March 2020, certain management were just expected to work 55+ hours a week, as standard, with no discussion from senior management and no breaks. Just left to it between 3 people to manage a contact centre. 4 out of 5 managers who were there in late 2019 spent a minimum of 6 weeks sick, read into that what you will. I expect this review to be deleted soon, even though everything is entirely provable via subject access requests. I also missed out on a job offer because they could not be bothered to reply to a reference request. I have since been able to get a better job and did receive a reference after the first mishap, thanks, only cost me 3 months of employment.

I am sorry that you were unhappy with your personal experience at PerfectHome and any customer service failures on our part. Responding to lockdown was a really big challenge for our contact centres but I promise you that we genuinely value the effort everyone made to make sure we kept delivering a great service for our customers in such unique and difficult circumstances. As with all the feedback on Glassdoor, your comments will be shared with our leadership team to see what lessons can be learnt. We do encourage our team members to share their experience of working at PerfectHome on Glassdoor because we’re proud that people enjoy working here, which the vast majority tell us they do – our last employee satisfaction survey came in at 76%. If our request has ever been interpreted as a mandatory one, we are sincerely sorry. That was never the intention and we will ensure that going forward that this is made clear.

Pros

There are some great people and teams to work with that will value your contribution. They are trying to improve but it's going to be a long haul.

Cons

Lacks strong leadership. There's too much spin which doesn't work in such a small organisation. Hard to stay engaged with the business when it fails to deliver on initiatives and agreements and then just ignores that failure. Employee feedback is routinely manipulated in one way or the other. The lack of experience in parts of the business can be embarrassing - you need to have a lot of compassion!
