    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at PPL full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

No Pros. The days of competitive pay and benefits are gone for this company. You can getter better compensation elsewhere and stuck in a hostile work environment.

    Cons

Hostile and toxic environment. Incompetent management. Culture of yes people. Club mentality. Constantly have to remain on guard for fear of saying the wrong thing to the wrong person. You can lose your job on the spot. It's literally that bad. Management pretends to care about its reports. Greed drives the company. CIO is totally incompetent. He is literally destroying the IT organization. President of... Utilities is totally greed driven. CEO has no clue about how this company is being taken apart. People over a certain are treated poorly. Work and productivity suffers because of the inept decisions being made. Poor work life balance.

    Advice to Management

At this point, the only advice would be for PPL to clean house from the CEO on down to its directors and remove the toxic environment they created. They need to start treating employees with respect. Not as some easily replaced commodity.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at PPL full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good pay, benefits, and co-workers

    Cons

Working under the constant fear that if you make any mistake you will lose your job. Those mistakes can range from anything obvious to anything upper management wants to define as an error in order to punish a non-favorite employee. Promotions for undeserving individuals who get to move up in the corporate ladder every few months, only because they are favorites of upper management, not because they are capable of... performing in the new role or even in their current role. Many of those individuals will trample on those under them in order to advance their own career. Department is constantly under staffed because of such a high turn over rate combined with how long of a training process new hires must undergo.
