Pros

competitive pay fun coworkers mostly set schedule requires you to be a self starter (no clear understanding how you will be used everyday) clinic culture differs anywhere you go (hopefully you get in with a tolerable one!)

Cons

90% clinic AT— serves mainly as a secretary to PTs and clinic therapy aide - substantial amount if down time ATs left to advocate and defend themselves with PTs that abuse the non-existent policy on how to appropriately utilize ATs . We are completely unprotected, so this happens often. 10% outreach coverage- mostly adult pick up leagues, no athlete follow up, role is relatable to on field medic No opportunities for advancement - the only move is lateral to a Patient Care Coordinator it is VERY clear individuals in management roles we’re placed solely on tenure with the company not leadership experience, communication abilities, or the ability to actually manage (obviously an opinion here, not a fact) HIGH turnover within ATs - few stay longer than 3 years if they make it to that point
